What Equity Release Is Really Good For

By Chris Channing

Many people end up working very hard in their lifetimes to earn enough to purchase a home and basically just keep living. Once you get to the ripe old age in which you can no longer work or when you retire, you might not have much money left over to truly relax. Many people look to getting equity release as means to remedy this, and better yet, it is a great way to make use of your home.

The value of your home can be use towards an equity release loan. Mainly this loan is designed for individuals who want to live in their home until they pass away. The equity of the home determines the amount of the loan that an individual may take out. The money that is borrowed does not need to be paid back, as the home will be payment once the borrower passes away.

With this large sum of money now in the hands of the borrower, many of the people that use this loan option travel the world or head on an extended vacation to relax. Once they finish their adventures, they can return to their homes to finish their long lived run on this earth. This can deeply calm the soul.

People that have large valuable homes may want to reduce the equity of the home and take out an equity release loan as a supplement to their retirement income to live a happy and fulfilling life at home. Others may choose to use the loan to purchase another home to give to their beneficiaries or even a new car.

If you do have heirs, it is the perfect way to give a young scholar a nice chunk of money for their schooling. That way they can study wherever they please and grow up to be whatever their imagination leads them towards. You can even divide the money up from an estate to pass on instead of the land so your heirs do not end up fighting over it.

You can make the money grow by putting it into a high yield savings account for your beneficiaries to inherit. This eliminates the problem of figuring out who gets what by allowing them to simply divide it equally amongst themselves.

Closing Comments

Equity releases are a type of loan that can really benefit an older person. They can even use it towards bettering the future for their beneficiaries.

Stopping Repossession

By Stopper Fishern

Christmas is supposed to be a time for joy, and celebrations. As i started the process of climbing up the rickety ladder to the dusty loft, to bring down the classic decorations, I could hear the trusty postman sticking his hand through the letter box. I glanced down, and saw, not only what was quite clearly 2 bills but another serious looking letter

suddenly I felt gettng the decorations down, was not that important. Christmas seemed to dissapear out of my mind and I re-read the letter.

My house was going to be repossessed, with the credit crunch this was the last thing I needed, I saw no way out. I had a repossession order against me and had nowhere to turn. Luckily I got in touch with a company that were prepared to buy my house for cash and then rent it back to me.

this company pulled through for me when I needed them the most. They got the lender off my back, I got to keep living in the place I called home. The staff were very understanding, helpful and proffesional. I dread to think where I would be without them today.

I now have more money to play with and I am free from a near disaster Christmas. They gave me a fast solution, what a company!

repossession.net is a fantastic company, they helped me through a tough time, saving me and my family from the harsh streets. I do not wish the trauma of a repossession on anyone, but have a safe and secure mind that at least there are people out there that can help.

I just want to praise repossession.net again because they were simply outstanding and magic. Their guidence and support helped me through the bad times. Repossession almost ruined me and my family's life. Christmas on the streets? No way.

the silver lining of the whole ordeal I guess is I have learnt now how better to handle my finances, albeit the hard way. I have learnt a harsh repossession lesson, and have made sure I do not fall into that situation again.

Dispute Letter - Remove Bad Credit From Your Report

By Justin Hutto

A dispute letter is your method of challenging the accuracy or validity of a bad credit mark on your report. In your letter you need to include the reason for your dispute and the mark that you are disputing.

Reasons often include; account is out of date, information is wrong, account paid in full, not my account and many more. The bureaus will conduct an investigation into the mark when they deem your letter valid.

During this investigation the collection agency or lender is contacted and the account is verified and the dates and amounts. If the account can not be verified then it will be removed from your credit report.

Frequently investigations result in bad credit marks being removed from your credit. This is often because businesses do not want to spend the extra money and time validating disputed debts.

Allegedly bureaus do not check public records during investigations. This means that negative marks that are recorded in public records are often removed.

Another option is to hire a service to perform your disputes for you. This can help tremendously especially if you are disputing multiple items.

Frequently dispute letters will result in the credit bureaus requesting more information from you. In addition you must dispute a bad credit item with each credit bureau separately.

Thus organizing all your disputes with each credit bureau can be a task itself. Many services can use advanced dispute techniques in case a bad credit item is verified. The techniques include; escalated dispute information requests, debt validation, and creditor direct intervention.

Many services will employ attorneys this will enable you to go to court if it is necessary. In addition you may be a victim of illegal debt collection practices and may be able to file a lawsuit against a collection agency.

Credit repair is not only your right it is your responsibility. There are estimates that 1 in every 4 people have inaccurate information on their credit report.

In sum if you have unverifiable or inaccurate information on your credit report you should use a dispute letter to challenge it. You can remove bad credit without waiting 7 years.

Where Would You Choose To Live--Toronto Or Winnipeg?

By Dane Masters

About three years ago, my family and I decided to take advantage of Toronto's real estate upswing. We opted to sell our townhome while prices were skyrocketing ending up with a very decent profit. In fact, our profit was so good that it allowed us to pay cash for a large, four-bedroom character home in Winnipeg. Yes, we had decided to relocate to another city, leaving our friends and family behind, setting out for a new life for our family. And the best part? We were mortgage-free!

Coming to the house itself, the property seemed almost double in size with a sprawling house in the center! If one could speculate how much such a house would have fetched in the Toronto real estate market, probably $300,000. And if it was renovated and placed in a popular location, the sale would have been close to $500,000. We had to shell out just $65,000 for this house as it needed some repairs. But with the estate prices going up by 20% year after year, should we decide to sell it, our profits are going to multiply manifold! Yes, a few repairs had to be carried out; some are still pending. Our plans include installing a brand new hardwood flooring for the entire living area. Whatever it may be, these are just minor problems, considering the size of the house and how less we paid for it!

If one should peruse the listings of houses in Toronto, one would get a shock to discover that the prices of independent homes in the city are out of reach of the common man. They can only settle for condominiums or town homes. A big house sells for nothing less than $250,000. The condition of the house does not matter--the price is fixed. So most people cannot afford to buy houses in Toronto. They cannot opt for good neighborhoods or places with plenty of amenities or good conditions.

All the more reason for joy, when I learnt about this! The relocation has come at the right time! Winnipeg does not have a gridlock through which to battle for office goers. Since situations are better, people do not succumb to road rage. People can still afford to buy houses, as they are below $100,000. Even the neighborhoods offer a choice. Home owners can benefit from the many incentives offered by Manitoba Hydro. A person who buys a fixer-upper can install highly efficient furnaces plus new windows. The interest rates are reasonable on loans. There are also town homes and condominiums for sale. Additionally, compared to Toronto, the maintenance fees are but a fraction over here.

Thus, all types of people can adjust to Winnipeg, for the real estate prices are within affordable range unlike the city of Toronto.

We have now made Winnipeg our home, probably for good. Yes, we miss our friends and family, but we still find ways to keep in touch and see each other on a regular basis. Our family is much happier with our slower pace, the kids love having so much space to run around, and we feel like we've made a smart decision for the long run.

How To Dispute Experian

By Justin Hutto

To dispute Experian credit bureau a dispute letter must be sent. When the bureau receives your letter they will investigate the dispute.

I suggest you first get a copy of your credit report. This can be done by going to annual credit report. They will issue you a free copy of your credit report with each bureau annually.

Once you have received your credit report you need to identify what marks are incorrect. These are going to be the marks that you will dispute.

These marks are disputed by writing a dispute letter and sending it to Experian. Upon receipt they will say if your dispute is valid or invalid.

If it is found to be invalid then they will write you requesting more information about the dispute. If this happens you will need to respond accordingly and provide the requested details.

However if your dispute is found valid they will conduct an investigation. During an investigation they will contact the creator of the listing and ask them to verify the account, the dates, and the amounts.

Often investigations will result in removal of a negative mark. This is due to many businesses not verifying debts because it costs them money to do so.

A credit repair service can also be hired to remove negative credit from your report. With this option you only need to identify the marks you wish to dispute and the service will do the rest.

The advantage of having a service is in case the listing is verified they have advanced dispute techniques they can use. These include; escalated dispute information requests, debt validation, and creditor direct intervention.

I suggest do it yourself credit repair if you have only minor damage on your report, however if you have multiple marks I suggest a credit repair service. I also suggest a service if you are having trouble submitting a valid dispute or you have had a mark verified that should be removed.

Be aware that you must send a dispute letter to each credit bureau. If you do not you may remove a negative mark from your Experian credit report however this mark will still be on your Equifax and Transunion credit report.

In sum you can remove bad credit items from your credit report. To do this you must dispute the item with each credit bureau.
