An increasing number of people are becoming more and more interested in unlocked cell phones. What are they? Well, like the term itself implies, they have simply been unlocked. That means that you will be able to use them either as prepaid or pay as you go cell phones, or you can use your unlocked phone on another network.
A lot of networks will only let certain phones be used on their network. This hardly seems fair. You are not allowed to take your phone with you if you decide to switch providers. Think about it. Why should any network be able to tell you where and when to use your phone, not to mention with whom? Money is typically at the root of this problem. When a network has sole rights over a phone every cell phone user wants to have, they have a very lucrative situation on their hands.
